1. Definitions — "Customer" means the owner or user of the device. "Device" means any smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, MacBook or other electronic device sent in for repair. "Repair centre" means Dolomiti Repair, based in Santa Cristina Val Gardena (BZ), Italy.
2. Shipping the device — The device travels at the customer's risk until it is received at our lab: we recommend adequate packaging and, where possible, an insured, tracked shipment. The repair centre is not liable for damage, loss or delays caused by the courier before the package is received. For proper packaging: use a sturdy box (the original box works fine too), wrap the device on all sides in bubble wrap or other soft material so it doesn't touch the box walls directly, and fill any empty space so the device can't shift during transport.
3. Backup and data — The repair may result in the loss of data stored on the device. The customer is responsible for backing up data before shipping: the repair centre is not liable for any loss of data or software resulting from the technical work.
4. Diagnosis and quote — Diagnosis is always free of charge. No work is carried out without the customer's explicit acceptance of the quote, communicated by email or phone.
5. Repair times — Turnaround times vary depending on the type of repair and parts availability: an estimated timeframe is provided together with the quote. Complex repairs or parts not in stock at the lab may take longer.
6. Pricing and parts — Once the quote is accepted, the cost of labour and parts is owed in full, even in case of unforeseen circumstances that change the scope of the repair; in that case the customer is informed in advance.
7. Return shipping and payment — Return shipping costs are always at the customer's expense. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online payment in advance, or by cash on delivery with a surcharge, as indicated on this form.
8. Declining the quote — If the customer does not accept the quote, the device is shipped back as-is to the address provided; return shipping costs remain at the customer's expense.
9. Warranty — The repair is covered by a 3-month warranty from the delivery date, valid only for the work carried out and limited to the component that was replaced or repaired: it does not cover other faults or malfunctions of the device unrelated to the repair performed. The warranty is void in case of accidental breakage or drops, liquid damage occurring after the repair, tampering by third parties, or normal wear and tear.
10. Personal data protection — Personal data provided is processed in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and used solely to carry out the repair. More information in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction — For anything not covered by this form, the Italian Civil Code and applicable law apply. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the Court of Bolzano.
